Tata Electronics to Set Up Display Manufacturing Unit in Gujarat

Tata Electronics has signed a tripartite agreement with the Gujarat government, Taiwan’s Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC), and Himax Technologies to establish a display semiconductor manufacturing facility in Dholera, Gujarat. The project aims to revolutionize India’s display technology ecosystem by producing display chips for Himax, leveraging PSMC’s advanced technology. This venture will complete Tata Electronics’ presence across all key segments of semiconductor manufacturing—alongside their ongoing ₹91,000 crore semiconductor fabrication project in Gujarat and a ₹27,000 crore chip assembly facility in Assam.
