PM Narendra Modi to Inaugurate ₹5,100 Crore Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway Boosting Regional Growth

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ₹5,100+ crore Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway on March 31 during his Gujarat visit. The 109-km greenfield, access-controlled expressway connects Ahmedabad with the Dholera Special Investment Region and has been developed in four packages.

Designed as a four-lane corridor expandable to eight lanes, the expressway is expected to reduce travel time to around 45 minutes. It will also enhance connectivity to the upcoming Dholera International Airport. Part of the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), the project is set to boost industrial growth and improve logistics efficiency in the region.

📍 Route Details:

The expressway begins at the Sardar Patel Ring Road near Sarkhej, close to the NH-8A junction. Key interchanges include Sarkhej, Sindhrej (approx. 22 km), Vejalaka (approx. 48 km), and Pipli near the airport, which is connected via a 9.56-km link road.

The Ambli interchange provides direct access to the Dholera SIR, while the expressway terminates at Adhelai in Bhavnagar district, offering further connectivity to nearby industrial hubs.
