NextGen has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Gujarat government to set up a compound semiconductor fabrication plant and an optoelectronics facility in Dholera with an investment of ₹10,000 crore. The project was announced during the Gujarat SemiConnect Conference 2025, which highlighted multiple semiconductor-related investments in the state. Alongside NextGen’s plans, companies like Jabil India and Tata Electronics are also making major commitments, reinforcing Gujarat’s position as a key hub in India’s growing semiconductor and electronics ecosystem.
