The Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway, a 109 km, ₹4,373 crore project, is nearly 80% complete and is expected to open in 2025. Once operational, it will cut travel time between Ahmedabad and Dholera to just 40–45 minutes, boosting regional connectivity and development. Designed as an 8-lane highway expandable to 12 lanes, the expressway begins at Sardar Patel Ring Road near Ahmedabad and ends at Adhelai in Bhavnagar district, passing through the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR). Key features include a diamond interchange at SP Ring Road, a 700-meter elevated railway overbridge, and major junctions like Pipli (linking to Dholera International Airport) and Ambli (gateway to Dholera SIR).
