Tata Electronics, in partnership with Taiwan’s PSMC, is building India’s first semiconductor fabrication plant in Dholera, Gujarat, with a planned capacity of up to 50,000 wafers per month. To strengthen support for this project, Lam Research will open an onsite office at the facility, marking its first direct presence inside a customer fab in India. Lam will also use its advanced virtual fab platform, Semiverse, to help simulate and optimize chipmaking processes, cutting down on experimentation costs and time. The move highlights the deep collaboration between Tata, PSMC, and Lam as India pushes to establish a strong semiconductor ecosystem.
