chevron_rightGujarat has taken a significant step toward strengthening its position as India’s emerging semiconductor and advanced manufacturing hub with the announcement of a proposed Indo-Taiwan Industrial Park in the Sanand–Dholera corridor.
The state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Taiwan-based Allegiance International Company Ltd to develop this high-tech industrial ecosystem. The agreement was formalized in Gandhinagar in the presence of key government officials, highlighting Gujarat’s growing global industrial partnerships.
The upcoming industrial park is expected to attract over ₹1,000 crore in foreign direct investment (FDI), primarily from Taiwanese companies operating in semiconductors and electronics manufacturing. Additionally, the project is projected to generate around 12,000 direct employment opportunities over the next five years, further accelerating regional economic growth.
Designed as a future-ready industrial ecosystem, the park will focus on key sectors such as semiconductors, electronics, electric vehicles (EVs), robotics, and advanced supply chains. The initiative aims to foster collaboration between Indian and Taiwanese enterprises, enabling technology transfer, innovation, and large-scale manufacturing capabilities.
Strategically located in the fast-developing Sanand–Dholera belt, the project aligns with India’s broader vision under the India Semiconductor Mission and Gujarat’s ambition to become a global manufacturing powerhouse. The region is already witnessing massive investments, with semiconductor projects worth over ₹1.24 lakh crore currently under development.
This Indo-Taiwan collaboration is expected to further enhance Gujarat’s industrial infrastructure, attract global players, and strengthen India’s position in the global electronics and semiconductor value chain.
