Gujarat’s First Sounding Rocket Successfully Launched from Dholera by Ahmedabad Startup

A new milestone in Gujarat’s space research journey was achieved near Dholera as the state’s first sounding rocket was successfully launched from Bavaliyari. The rocket was developed and launched by Ahmedabad-based startup Omspace Rocket and Exploration Private Limited, marking an important step for Gujarat in the private space sector.

The launch took place in the presence of Gujarat’s Science and Technology Minister Arjun Modhwadia, who congratulated the young team of scientists for this achievement. The single-stage sub-orbital rocket reached an altitude of around 3 km and successfully tested key systems including propulsion, avionics, and recovery mechanisms.

The mission was conducted with authorization from IN-SPACe, supporting the growth of private space innovation and technological advancement in the region. 🚀
