German gases major Linde plans new plant in Dholera, Gujarat

Global industrial gases leader Linde is in advanced talks to set up a major plant in Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), Gujarat, as part of India’s ambitious push to become a semiconductor manufacturing hub. The plant is expected to supply critical gases required for chip fabrication and other advanced industries.

With Tata Electronics investing in a ₹91,000 crore semiconductor fab in Dholera, the demand for industrial gases is set to rise sharply. Linde’s entry will play a pivotal role in building a robust supply chain ecosystem, supporting India’s vision of self-reliance in electronics and high-tech manufacturing.

This development further cements Dholera SIR’s position as the country’s next big investment hotspot, attracting global players across semiconductors, renewable energy, and industrial innovation.
