Dholera SIR and GIFT City Receive Major Boost in Union Budget 2015-16

India’s first smart city at Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) and the country’s inaugural International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) at GIFT City are set to gain significant momentum, following key announcements in the Union Budget 2015-16 presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.

Jaitley not only commended both landmark projects but also outlined a strategic roadmap to extend financial support—marking a decisive push for two of Gujarat’s flagship infrastructure initiatives, long championed by the state government.
