Dholera making it big as defence manufacturing hub

Dholera, a planned industrial city spread across 920 sq km in Gujarat, is emerging as a key focus area under the $90-billion Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). With growing interest from New Delhi, efforts are underway to position Dholera as a strategic artillery and aerospace manufacturing hub.
 

To attract global defence manufacturers, 8 sq km of industrial plots are being offered specifically for the testing and storage of advanced defence equipment.
 

Built near the historic port town of Dholera in the Gulf of Khambhat, this greenfield smart city is poised to play a major role in India's defence and industrial future.
