chevron_rightUnion Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently reviewed the progress of the Ahmedabad–Dholera Semi High-Speed Rail Project, a key infrastructure initiative aimed at improving connectivity to Dholera Special Investment Region.
The proposed corridor will enable passenger trains to run at speeds of up to 220 km/h, while freight trains will operate on the same track at around 100 km/h, creating an efficient mixed-traffic rail system.
Once completed, the rail corridor will significantly enhance connectivity between Ahmedabad and Dholera Special Investment Region, supporting industrial development, logistics efficiency, and the rapid growth of India’s first Greenfield smart city.
The project is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening regional infrastructure and accelerating economic growth across Gujarat.
